Get Ready! The Summer Selling Season is Almost Here
Families moving ahead of a new school year, make summer the second hottest selling season
It's a matter of fact, that homes in the late spring and summer sell as well as they do in the cooler winter months. That's particularly true of the beautiful neighborhoods of La Quinta North, where family relocation is common. Neighborhoods like, Sonrisa, La Quinta Highlands, Rancho Ocotillo, and Quinterra, are favored for their family-sized homes and amenities geared towards children.
Couples looking to downsize tend toward resort-type gated communities, offering a variety of fun social and sports activities. The cities of Indian Wells and La Quinta offer an array of amazing communities, and there is a lifestyle, home and price range just right for everyone.
Low Inventory and Choosy Buyers
My family and I have decades real estate development and home sales experience in the these and other popular local communities. Since January, there are fewer homes for sale than in past years. With inventory so low, homes typically sell quicker and at slightly higher prices. However, there are fewer buyers as well, and they have become very picky, indeed.
Primarily, buyers are looking for homes in good repair, in a popular neighborhood. And, it doesn't hurt to have a few extra amenities like, for example, a fire pit, spa or pool. The good news is, that today's buyers are willing to pay a good price to get what they want!
A Few Helpful Tips
Most important is that your home is clean, uncluttered and at least hints at the more contemporary styling that buyers today, are looking for. And, the great thing is that it doesn’t take much money or time, to make the few changes needed to attract a willing buyer. Fresh paint, updated faucets and lighting fixtures can go a long way, and, at a relatively low cost. Check out Sherwin Williams 2019 Home Colors and Benjamin Moore 2019 designer colors

If you are at a loss as to what to do, go online for some great decorating tips. For example, white kitchens are all the rage right now. While you may not want to spring for a whole new set of cabinets, you may be able to change out the backsplash or countertops, or even a few light fixtures.
